The Health & Safety Risk Assessment Package
The Health and Safety Risk Assessment Package is a collection of tools and materials designed to assist businesses in identifying and managing hazards and risks in the workplace. Guidelines for conducting risk assessments, templates for recording and tracking risks, and checklists for identifying hazards and applying appropriate controls are often included in the package. The bundle may also include risk assessment and management training tools for employees and managers. The package’s purpose is to assist businesses in making their workplaces safer by identifying potential hazards, assessing the risks associated with those hazards, and adopting suitable controls to mitigate those risks. Employers can reduce the chance of workplace accidents and injuries, enhance productivity, and create a safer and healthier work environment by conducting regular risk assessments and implementing appropriate measures.
Health & Safety Risk Assessment
This package’s risk assessment is task-based, and it is carried out using a well-developed, tried-and-tested risk assessment methodology for efficient hazard identification, risk identification, and quantification, and the assignment of control measures to those risks, for execution.
After the jobs have been identified during a walk-through of the premises, a H_Consulting Health and Safety Practitioner will conduct the risk assessment and fill out the risk assessment register. The practitioner will also compile data on the risks and hazards related to the specified tasks, and all of this data will be incorporated into the risk assessment on the cloud-based health and safety management system.
After the risk assessment is complete, the health and safety professional will consult with the client about the risk assessment, focusing on the control measures to be put in place as well as for the risk assessment to be approved by the client, so that the staff communication regarding the risk assessment may start.
Risk Assessment Communication
The client’s personnel must be informed of the information documented after the risk assessment has been approved. This communication is incorporated into the Health and Safety Risk Assessment Package to guarantee prompt and efficient communication of the dangers and risks connected to the jobs and activities.
This feature serves as both a legal requirement and a risk management control mechanism with the intention of raising awareness of these issues. All employees must be exposed to the Risk Assessment Communication, which will be conducted by the H_Consulting Health and Safety Practitioner.
Safe Operating Procedure Development
SOPs, or safe operating procedures, are essential for reducing workplace risk and preventing accidents as well as for training, monitoring, and improvement of risk management. In this package, the client will receive the development of a number of SOPs to ensure that the personnel in charge of those jobs are taught and that records are kept for protection against responsibility. These SOPs will be prepared in accordance with the number of tasks examined in the risk assessment.
To guarantee effective and timely delivery, the Health and Safety Practitioner will create Safe Operating Procedures with the assistance of the H_Consulting administrative support team. Before any SOPs may be used for training interventions with employees, they must first receive client approval.
Safe Operating Procedure Training
The Health and Safety Practitioner will train the staff members on the duties they are accountable for using Safe Operating Procedures once the developed ones have been approved.
Regarding the obligations placed on employers and employees under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, this training and the documentation of its completion are crucial. The planning that must be done in this regard must be given the attention it requires because training needs to be scheduled over a period of several days.
Each employee will need to sign a registration form attesting to their completion of the SOP training, as required by the Risk Assessment Control Measures and the law. This registration form will be preserved and recorded in the employer’s health and safety file.
